It is a nice quality "for show" puppy. It isnt made to be carried everywhere. Its fur "sheds" after a couple months, but we use it to stay on the top of the dresser, so everyone can see this adorable puppy. They should make it a snuggly puppy so children can snuggle at night with it.

Oh my god!!! This little bundle of cute is too good to be true. I automaticly LOVED it. A little expensive, but worth the price. But, the story just isn't complete without the carrying tote. The price total if you buy it online is about [$] but you can buy it elsewhere for cheaper.

This was an okay product. My Ma ended up getting my sister and I one, but..we have since lost interest.

That was 2 years ago. Now, the thing "lives" under my bed alongside dust bunnies and who knows what else.

I'd recommend it to lonely 3 year olds who want a friend, but that's it.

The dumb thing doesn't do much. In the high-tech society we live in today, this totally doesn't live up to our standards.

Maybe if it could open it's eyes, walk around your room, or even "pee" on your carpet, people would consider it?

Very cute - would love to see more breeds done. The collie was the closest to a Sheltie puppy that is done. Would love to see a Doberman puppy done as well. Enjoy listening to & watching the puppy "breathe". Great idea.

My son couldn't believe that the dog didn;t open his eyes. does it ever shut off? Is there an on/off switch? For the money, this was very disappointing. All it does is sleep?

I purchased my "Lassie Dog" from our Hospital Gift Shop some time ago. After making the purchase (which was to go home for my grandchildren) I set it on the counter in front of my reception desk. By the end of my shift, "Scruffy" had elicited so many comments that he became the Monday Mascot. (Our CEO thinks he is the perfect addition to a reception desk.) We find that patients seem to lose a lot of stress when they come by and stroke his fur; many patients and visitors mistake him for a real puppy and wonder aloud why I have him in such a dangerous spot; Hundreds of people ask where they can buy one....in fact, our gift shop had to reorder various breeds many times to keep up with the demand. Unfortunately, that buyer retired and the new buyer has chosen not to order because the demand was so great. (Figure that one out!)
When I forget to put Scruffy in the car to bring him to work, the employees that pass my desk all ask where he is... He is supposed to be there doing his special job of tension reliever!
Great investment!

My Dad bought the puppies for my daughters. I thought they were very cute and would last for awhile but have come to find out that my one daughters just from her carrying and playing with it the glue or whatever they use to put the fur on has come undone and now the fur is coming off in pieces. not very happy with the fact they have had them less then a year. Never expected that to happen. I have suggeseted them to people who ask when they see my girls but now have second thoughts on it. Would like to replace hers but seem like alot of money to replace something she has hardly played with and not had very long.

I gave my 83-year old aunt in a nursing home one of these for a fun gift. She told everyone the breathing collie is her pet. It was a great hit! Everyone was asking where they could get one. The Size D batteries last many months.

breathing mechanism emits a low clicking noise, sufficiently noticeable in an otherwise quiet environment that I had to remove the battery because the constant noise was distracting.
